A Community Organizer and Leader for over 20 years advocating for students as Executive Director of the Philadelphia Student Union, for immigrants as the Executive Director of Juntos, and for workers and imprisoned populations through her current campaign work.
Incumbent Councilmember Thomas serves as Chair of the Streets Committee and Vice Chair of the Children and Youth Committee. In his freshman term he has driven policy to expand ballot access and workers' rights, and programs expanding arts and culture and beautification efforts in Philadelphia communities.
Incumbent Councilperson Gilmore Richardson is a lifelong Philadelphian focused on Education, Job Creation, and Public Safety. She has passed legislation in her first term bolstering transparency and accountability in city government, and she serves as Vice-Chair of the EPA Loval Government Environmental Justice Working Group.
A Community Organizer and Lifelong Philadelphian. Mcillmurray is a co-founder of Reclaim Philadelphia and has been integral to the election of several progressive Philadelphia leaders. She is a long-time Union supporter and advocate, and fights against Philadelphia school privatization.
